Returns and refunds
Customers are responsible for any applicable sales tax in the state listed in the shipping address.
Because our products are made to order, our return and cancellation policies are as follows:

No returns are accepted without prior written approval from American Iron Beds (AIB).

Return requests for reasons other than manufacturing defects or shipping damage are reviewed at AIB’s discretion and, if approved, are subject to round‑trip shipping charges and a 50% restocking fee.

Variations in hand‑applied finishes are expected and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Design or height variations that result from different product sizes are not considered manufacturing defects.

Dream Gallery Collection products and all custom orders are non‑refundable and are not eligible for return.
Customers are responsible for confirming before purchase that elevators, stairways, ceiling height, hallways, and doorways can accommodate the product dimensions.
Order changes and cancellations:

Within 72 hours of placing an order, you may contact us to request a cancellation or change.

After 72 hours, cancellation requests may be approved at AIB’s discretion and are subject to a 40% restocking fee.

Once an order has shipped, cancellation requests are non‑refundable.
Shipping

Shipping information and tracking details will be emailed to you when your order ships.

The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment, typically with a 3–4 hour delivery window.

A responsible adult must be present during the scheduled window to receive and inspect the delivery.

First‑threshold delivery (to your first dry area, such as entryway or garage) and white‑glove delivery (room‑of‑choice placement and assembly) are available; fees are calculated based on delivery location and service level and are shown at checkout or quoted by our team.
Damage and inspection

Orders that are damaged in transit and properly documented will be repaired or replaced at no additional charge.

For first‑threshold deliveries, please inspect all boxes carefully before signing, and note any dents, tears, punctures, or visible damage on the carrier’s delivery paperwork at the time of delivery.

AIB is not responsible for shipping damage that is not noted at the time of delivery.

If you see visible damage to the product itself when the packaging is opened at delivery, you should refuse the shipment and note the damage with the carrier; then contact us so we can arrange a replacement.
